Barbarian Line Commercial Gym Equipment
The Barbarian Line of gym equipment is designed in Germany for the European market. So you can be assured that the quality and functionality will be excellent.
It took us years to find another supplier that would compliment Powertec and Ironmaster. I had known about Barbarian for years, but the moment I saw their products on display at FIBO I knew that they would be perfect for our business.
There is a lot of gym equipment being sold as commercial equipment on the Australian market that is just rubbish. So we always wanted to enter the market with something that stood out from the competition. So like a lot of other products in the world, if you want the best go to Germany.
Put simply, the Barbarian Line is over engineered for its purpose. For example, the humble Barbarian Warrior Bench. The bench does not move in any position. When they say it is rated for 500kgs, they mean it. And they have a European Standards certificate to prove it. Here it is with 525kgs - they tell me it can take more!
Many competitors are claiming certifications for their products - I urge to read the fine print. Barbarian products have undergone a thorough, independent testing procedure. They just don't load weight on the product and sees if it collapses. A product may hold 900kgs but tip when racked with only 100kgs in the squat position. The European standards tests these finer details.
Just like Powertec and Ironmaster, the owner of Barbarian has been in the fitness industry for years. Over 20 years manufacturing gym equipment, and a gym owner prior to that. So you know that the equipment has been designed properly for its intended purpose.
A lot of the commercial equipment being sold in Australia are just generic designs being pumped out from Chinese factories. They might offer attractive sounding warranties, but good luck getting parts in a few years time. Also most of these commercial warranties do not cover commercial use - if they do not have faith in their product, why should you?
Barbarian on the other hand is an established brand in the massive European market. So it has a proven track record of quality and after sales service. Plus with Barbarian you are getting a product that has been properly designed and refined by Germans - not some guy in a Chinese factory who has never trained in his life! So the chances of having issues is greatly reduced.
