If you already have your Barbarian Power Rack (BB-9030) or Smith Machine (BB-9043) and you want to add some cable work to your weight training regime, then you can simply add on the Barbarian Lat Option. It bolts straight up to your rack or smith, and you will have a high and low pulley that can handle as much weight as you can throw at.
Now you have two options, depending on your budget.
If you want to keep it simple, just grab the plate loaded version. It can handle up to 180kgs, and if you are moving some heavyweight you are going to need some rest between sets, so why not change weight plates. Been doing it myself for years!
But there are some of you out there that think changing plates is a pain in the ass and do not mind paying that bit extra for the convenience. So you also have the option of a 125kg weight stack that goes up in 5kg increments.
Now some people feel that this is not enough, and lay claim to 120kg plus lat pulldowns. When put to the test on the Barbarian unit they have looked shaky on 60kgs - you see not all pulldowns are created equally! Even some high-end commercial units have a mechanical advantage. The Barbarian unit is a strict 1:1 ratio. Who also better to test it than Lee Priest...
If you are lifting some decent weight there is nothing worse than when you start getting pulled off your seat. The Barbarian pulldown unit has the adjustable foam rollers that allow you to anchor yourself into position.
