The 25kg Olympic weight plates are great for when you need to get a lot of weight on your barbell or gym equipment. They are particularly useful on leg machines at the gym where very heavy loads are required.
If these are for your home gym and your wife, girlfriend, partner etc uses the gym equipment, then you might want to just stick with 20kg Olympic weight plates. We have found that most (not all ladies!) have trouble hoisting 25kg plates up onto taller machines.
