10kg Bumper Plates will be a must if you are starting out on Olympic lifts. You are kidding yourself if you think you can start off with just 20kg bumper plates – 60kg is a long way off yet!
You are better off taking your time with a lesser weight and building up slowly. Your technique will be spot on, you will avoid injuries and have a better foundation to tackle the heavy weight.
