Starts in the Upper Position
It might not seem like a big deal, but starting at the top position makes the belt squat exercise better. Some attachments make you start at the bottom of the movement. Not a big deal in the warmup sets. But as the weight increases it can be more taxing to start your set.

High Belt Squat to Weight Loading Efficiency
Belt squat attachments are being released by many companies these days. Some are great while others are poorly designed. One design fault that many leverage units suffer from relates to the loss of resistance. You might load up 100kg but only get 50kg of resistance.

These days you will see plenty of smith based multi-function machines that offer a million exercises. Some of them are great. But many suffer from squeezing too many exercises in and compromising their functionality. The main issue for me is that they are cheap junk with loads of parts that can break.
