Mini squat wedges add safety and stability to your training. Squat shoes work great by increasing ankle mobility during squats, but they can be expensive. If you don’t want to splash out on a pair, we’d recommend getting a heel wedge to use for squats.
While weight plates and wooden planks might do the job for a while, they’re certainly not the safest or most comfortable option. The ATX mini heel blocks weigh only 1kg (pair) and will easily fit in your backpack, maybe even your back pocket!

Squats are probably one of the most taxing exercises on your body. To perform this compound exercise with correct technique you need to have the necessary flexibility. Even advanced trainers often lack the required hip and ankle mobility. Squat wedges elevate your heels so you can perform this valuable exercise correctly.

Squat shoes are great if you don’t mind spending a few hundred dollars on something you will only use once or twice a week at most. The Mini Squat Blocks are a much more affordable option if you don’t want to spend too much. Plus they have the added advantage that you can vary the elevation of your heel.
With Mini Squat Stand Blocks you can adjust the heel height from 10 to 35mm. This allows you to improve your ankle mobility gradually.
Unbreakable Anti-slip design
People can get quite creative when it comes to gym accessories. I’ve seen people using weight plates or wooden blocks to substitute for squat blocks. As much as I admired their creativity, I don’t think I could trust the weight plate option during heavy lifts.
