The plate itself is manufactured out of cast iron, this gives the plate the plate it’s structural rigidity as well as it allows them to stay thin.
The Olympic Weight plates also feature durable rubber coating, which often gets overlooked. It prevents the plates from clattering thus greatly reducing noise. It also extends the plate’s longevity by preventing it from rusting – a must in an Australian climate!
Plates ranging from 5 kg to 25 kg come with three grips for easier loading/unloading of your barbell & weight machine. The Tri-Grip design also gives you additional versatility in your training as you can use them for side lateral, front shoulder raises as well as for farmers walks and weighted crunches.
