This leg extension attachment for the Ironmaster Super Bench is a great way to add variety to your leg training. Everyone knows how boring leg training can be at times. So the more exercises you have at your disposable the more enjoyable your training will be.
I steered away from doing leg extensions for a while after reading they were regarded as being a potentially damaging exercise. However, after researching the matter further it seemed that only heavy leg extensions should be avoided.
After incorporating light leg extensions back into my leg training I actually experienced a reduction in knee pain. I now do them every leg workout. I find light weight and high reps (20 plus) works best.
This is just not another el-cheapo leg attachment for a bench. It has a very heavy-duty design. The pivot point features a bearing that gives you smooth and direct movement under load. It is rated for 200lbs or 90kg, which is more than enough for leg extensions and lying leg curls performed with correct form.
Adjustable Bench with Leg Extension
The Ironmaster Leg Lift Attachment will take both Olympic and standard weight plates. It has different adjustment positions to cater for different shapes and sizes.
Please note that due to the flat height of the Super Bench, users that are over 6ft 2 will have floor clearance issues. This is easily solved by rotating the bench up a notch so it is in a slight decline position. If you are going to use heavy weight you will just need to put a 3″ block of timber under the support foot.
