How To Repair a Gym Cable Ball
Here is the EASIEST and CHEAPEST way to repair a gym cable ball. If it wasn’t for this very simple gym cable part you would be looking at having to replace the whole gym cable. Not only is this costly, it means that your favourite home cable workout machine will be out of action.
- If your gym cable ball has started cracking, it is only a matter of time till it fails. These no tool gym cable balls are dirt cheap compared to purchasing a complete new cable. So just buy one and get it fixed.
- Make sure your gym cable eyelet will fit through the ball.
- You just need a little bit of excess cable length to fit this ball. If you don’t have the necessary length, you can take one pulley out, that should be sweet.
- Feed your eyelet through the narrow end. Pull enough length through so you can fit on the insert.
- Put the insert on the cable – the tapered end goes towards the ball. Then push the insert inside the ball. You might not get the eyelet in, don’t stress.
- If you pulled out a pulley, put that back in. Now you are ready to go. Once tension is applied the eyelet will go inside the ball.
Simple, Cheap & Effective
Generally on good QUALITY gym equipment the cables will last a long time when used in domestic environments. The life gets shortened considerably in commercial gym environments. So if you can use this simple fix to sort out a relatively simple issue, you will save both time and money. In my time I have seen many DIY attempts to repair gym cable balls. But this is so simple and cheap it really isn’t worth the time to do a second rate job.
