Olympic Weight Plate 1.25kg is a rubber-coated cast iron plate sold individually, with a 142 mm diameter and 14 mm thickness for light loading and micro-progression work.

The old 1.25kg weight plate is often overlooked by weight trainers. We don’t put them in our packages anymore because most people asked for us to take them out.

A pair of 1.25kg Olympic plates will allow you to make a 2.5kg jump – which is a lot less taxing than a 5kg one. Especially on arm and isolation exercises where you are not handling large poundages to begin with.

Unless you are Ronnie Coleman, a pair of 1.25kg plates is a must for any recreational weight trainer.
