The main advantage of using ATX® Safety Strap System over the Sabre and Flip Down Spotter bars is the front and back hangers can be mounted at different heights. It allows the straps to be positioned at an angle, which forces the dropped barbell to roll safely away from you on a missed lift.
Each strap is made out of a 2.5 m x 70 mm nylon strip which is sewn into a 3 ply strip. This way the strap can withstand several tonnes, no human could possibly be using enough weight to break it.
