It seems like every week there is an issue in the Australian press with buildings cracking, leaking, catching on fire or falling down. A lot of this stems from poor quality materials.

When you are seeking quality, there is no better place to look than the EU, where their market is tightly regulated with strict standards. Plus the customers are more discerning too.

Cheaper rubber gym mats are available everywhere, but if you are after something of higher quality, then these mats are for you.

Here are the tests which the tiles were put through before they there released to the EUROPEAN Market:

Fire Behaviour – EFL (DIN EN 13501-1) / B2 (DIN 4102-1) – normal fire behaviour.

Wear/Abrasion – 0.21% (DIN ISO 9352) – Taber Abrasion Test.

Impact Sound Reduction – 21 dB (independant test).

Force Reduction – 37.20% – DIN EN 13036-4

Slip Resistance – R10 (DIN 51130) – Highly Slip Resistant.

Features of the Rubber Gym Flooring

  1. Manufactured in EUROPE out of Recycled Rubber.
  2. Exceptionally low odour.
  3. Moisture/Sweat Resistant.
  4. Easy to Lay – use glue/adhesive tape.
  5. 3 Years Manufacturers Warranty (excluding normal wear).
  6. Suitable for Indoor and Outdoor use.

The Breakdown of the Tiles

Materials used.

These tiles have been manufactured out of Recycled Rubber Granules (SBR Rubber) and bonded with polyurethane.

Both top and bottom surfaces of these tiles feature a smooth, fine-pored granule structure.

Dimensions and Weight.

These premium rubber gym floor tiles are 1000 mm (+/- 1%) x 1000 mm (+/- 1%) x 20 mm (+/- 1 mm). Each tile weighs approximately 18 kgs and has a density of 900 kg/m3!

Laying Options

Option 1 – due to high weight (18 kgs) and exceptional grip qualities of the rubber, the tiles do not necessarily have to be glued.

Option 2 – Double-Sided adhesive tape. Using glue would void the warranty of the tiles and also could damage the surface of the area. The double-sided tape would provide optimum grip without any side effects of using glue.
