For years I was trying to find a wide lat pulldown straight bar. The traditional angle style lat pulldown atttachents are good and do the job. But personally I find a wide straight bar works better for me. So when I found the Lat Pulldown Straight and Curl Bar I had to add it to my collection.
Key Features
Lightweight Construction: Won’t swing and hit your gym equipment.
Rubber-Coated Handles: Soft, grippy wide grips for comfort and secure hold.
Why Buy This Product?
The flat, wide grip design is perfect for lat pulldowns, giving you better control and muscle activation compared to other bars with angled ends. You’ll feel your lats engage fully throughout the movement, making each rep more effective.
Not only great for pulldowns, but this bar also has ideal angles for curls and pressdowns, ensuring smooth, natural motion that helps you focus on the muscles you’re working without straining your wrists. It’s perfect for a variety of exercises targeting both your biceps, triceps and shoulders.
One of the biggest highlights of this bar is its lightweight construction. Made from 2mm thick steel tubing, it’s strong yet light enough at 1.85kg to avoid lifting the top plate of your weight stack when you adjust the weights—a common problem with heavier attachments. Its design also prevents it from swinging and hitting your gym equipment, making it easy and safe to use in any gym setup.
If you’re looking for a versatile, easy-to-use, and effective cable attachment that covers all your bases—lat pulldowns, curls, and pressdowns—this is the bar for you. Lightweight, durable, and perfectly balanced for smooth lifts every time.
I’m afraid I don’t have the enthusiasm for the wide grip pull down function of this bar that Sam reports. I found that if you’re NOT pulling with MAXIMUM WIDTH that the bar allows ,it tends to roll out of your grip . If you do go full width then it’s fine. NOW for the cable triceps push down/cable curl function, (In my opinion) the angles for this function and the rubber coating makes it BLOODY AWESOME . I have NOT used a BETTER attachment for these movements ever.

Thanks for the review Bill! With the pulldown, yes you have to grip wide, but I will tell you the real secret. You have to use bugger all weight and really engage the lats. If you try and lift heavy it will feel ordinary. But nice slow and controlled reps with a weight you can control, your lats will get a real workout.
