The old EZ Curl bar is great for a young fella starting out with weight training. Bicep curls are the ultimate upper body exercise, and the standard bar will be better for a beginner than an Olympic EZ Curl bar because it is lighter. Plus it will teach them the basics of free weight training.  

The Power Maxx Standard EZ Curl bar does NOT come with spring collars.  Standard Weight Plates are sold separately.
