You don’t need to be an Olympic Weightlifter or a CrossFit enthusiast to use bumper plates. They are great at absorbing shock and reducing noise as the plates simply won’t clatter when training.
Since these plates are manufactured out of solid rubber, their width is far greater compared to your regular Cast Iron weight plates. The benefit of the thicker plates is that they do provide a larger surface area for shock absorption, the downside however is that you are limited on how much weight you can actually load on the barbell. Your will be able to load approximately 220 kgs onto the barbell before you will run out of room.
The Power Maxx Olympic Bumper Plates also feature a stainless steel inner ring, which not only is resistant to rust but also helps to prevent the rubber from splitting during high drops.
- The plate has a 450mm (IWF standard) diameter and a width of 90mm.
- 51mm stainless steel inner ring.
- Made from Durable Rubber.
- Successfully withstood 10,000 Drop Test.
- 88 Shore A Durometer Scale.
- Sold individually.
Please note: The warranty does not cover 5 kg for dropping since they are so thin. If you need to drop 5kg bumpers then we’d advise getting the thicker technique plates instead.
