The Ironmaster Crunch Attachment for the Super Bench will allow you to add more variety to ab workouts. A lot of benches have crunch attachments. Trust me when I say that the Ironmaster crunch attachment is a cut above the rest.

The big advantage of this setup is the level of adjustability. You can go from a fairly tame just past level position to a blood rushing to head steep position. With every position in between.

This attachment is also great for declining dumbbell or barbell press.

I also find that locking your legs in the higher position is far more comfortable than the normal locking position on leg extension attachments.

The single handle at the top of the Ironmaster Crunch Attachment is perfect for hanging on whilst mounting at steep angles.

To be perfectly honest, I am neither much of an ab crunch or decline bench press man. What I did use this attachment for was reverse ab crunches on an incline. Hanging on to the top rollers was far more comfortable than stretching back further for the end of the bench.

A person in a red tank top and black shorts performs a bench press on a Smith machine, lying on a decline bench with weighted plates on the barbell and rack.

Ironmaster Crunch Attachment Versatility

Thanks to the Garage Gym community and their ingenuity we find even more things you can do with your Ironmaster crunch attachment. This legend got rid of his inversion table!

Believe it or not, this combination can be even used as a Nordic Curl Bench. The set up and end result is far better than some of the methods that you see being used.

Using the crunch attachment as an anchor for lat pulldowns is also very handy. One of the downsides of getting the cheaper ATX-LTO-520 lat option is that it doesn’t have a leg lock system. This solves that problem.

  • Real decline, not a half-measure. Flip-the-bench decline on a Super Bench is shallow. This attachment locks your legs so you can run the bench from just past flat through a steep, head-down angle for sit-ups and decline press.
  • Six length settings. Six locator holes in the chrome spine, pull-pin into the bench. Short and tall users both get the rollers in the right spot instead of hanging off a fixed ankle pad.
  • Easier to get on than a cheap decline bench. Grab handle at the top plus raised knee pads. You can climb into a steep angle without fighting the rollers or needing someone to hold your feet.
  • One small attachment, a lot of work. Abs, decline chest, and (if you want them) Nordics, split squats and a pulldown leg lock.

Please note This listing is just for the attachment, the Ironmaster Super Bench is sold separately. This attachment also comes with roller covers.
