The Ironmaster Ultimate Chin Up Attachment for the Ironmaster IM2000 smith machine is yet another reason why this machine is one of the most versatile pieces of gym equipment on the market today.

Now you can add chin-ups to the already massive list of quality exercises that you can perform on this smith machine.

The first thing that struck me as I unboxed the Ultimate Chinup was the thick, knurled grips. They look so beefy!

The grip handles slide on the heavy-duty chromed crossbar. The grip handles can be reversed allowing you to have a wide-angled, neutral and flat grip, the distance between the handles can also be adjusted, offering a nearly endless number of combinations; which is probably why they call it the Ultimate Chin Up Attachment! It’s also great for doing abdominal work like hanging leg raises.

The attachment simply bolts on top of the smith machine frame. You just have to undo and replace three nuts and bolts and you can start chinning.

The Ultimate Chin Up has a 117cm wide crossbar, so the maximum width when the chin-up handles are adjusted is 137cm wide. It will also increase the height of your IM2000 to 221cm. This attachment is rated for 350lbs so it is designed for some heavy pull-ups.
