The ATX® Power Bar- Black is the latest addition to our ATX® barbell range. If you are after a bar that stands out from the pack, not just visually but performance too, then the Power Barbell is just for you.
The ATX® Power Death Bar is very similar to the ATX® Black Mamba Power Bar, the only difference would be chrome sleeves.
The Death Bar is made out of very strong and elastic spring steel. It has a massive 206,000 PSI (Tested!) meaning you will need quite a few plates to break it. Barbells under 190,000 PSI tend to bend over time from continuous use, while barbells over 190,000 PSI will remain straight even after years of lifting.
This bar offers dual markings (powerlifting and weightlifting) and no central knurling. Bars with no central knurling won’t scrape your chest when performing Olympic lifts.
The weight load capacity varies between exercises due to the relevant load support of the different exercises. Squats are the lowest at 500kg because the load is only supported in the centre of the bar by your shoulders. Conversely, when you bench press your hands are spaced wider than the other lifts. This means there is less strain on the bar.
Regardless these capacities will not be an issue. The person that squats more than 500kgs will no doubt have back wider than the average bench press grip.
Please refer to the table below:
Grip Type | Maximum Permitted Weight | Example of Exercise |
Wide Handle Width | 700 kg | Bench Press |
Medium Handle Width | 600 kg | Deadlift |
Central/Narrow Handle Width | 500 kg | Squats |
ATX® offers top-quality, tested equipment for professional use.
The ATX® weight bars are tested in a German independent testing laboratory with the following material tests:
The barbell has the following values: tensile strength (Tensile Strength): 206,000 psi = 206 K (K / NSI = kilo pounds per square inch) = / corresponds to 1420 N / mm2 HRC / surface hardness: 44.0
