ATX® Leverage & Free Weight Preacher Curl
The ATX Biceps Blasters was designed for European gyms which are typically smaller than your average US gym. They require equipment that is multi function. Also being plate loaded reduces the purchase price. Affordability is critical when you have a smaller membership base.
Although it is compact and affordable, it does not come at the expense of functionality. Read some of the reviews. The ATX Biceps Blaster has been likened to some of the high end brands that cost way more.

Gun Show!
For those of you who have trained on leverage gym equipment, you will know how good these machines are for isolating the muscle. Leverage works particularly well for preacher curls because the pad further isolates the muscle. So when you are doing leverage preacher curls, your biceps are doing all the work.
Another feature that makes the ATX® Preacher Curl even more versatile is the level of adjustability. By tinkering with the angle of the preacher pad you can target different areas of the bicep.
With four different angles on offer, you will be able to add loads of variety to your arm workouts. The seat and the barbell support offer many different adjustment levels so you can get yourself into the sweet spot.
Weight Load Capacity: Both the lever arm and barbell supports are rated for 100kg.
Certification: Complies with EN Norm 957, European Community
Sam's Review
If you are looking for a good quality preacher curl machine for your gym and you do not want to spend a small fortune then the ATX Biceps Blaster is well worth a look. You have both leverage and free weight functionality in a compact footprint. Best of all it is under $1,000.
BICEPS ON A BUDGET
Normally in these videos I start off banging on about how well built the machine is. Or listing all the amazing features. This time I thought I would kick it off with what one of our valued customers thought of his machine.
Brad from Inferno Fitness is a legend and got plenty of our gear over the years. You know he must think highly of it because he is in WA so shipping is steep. This is what he thought of his preacher curl machine:
Just to clarify, this machine was previously branded Barbarian and has remained unchanged since being branded ATX. Brad’s review pretty much sums up the ATX range – you get close to the same experience as more expensive machines but at a fraction of the price. Perfect for smaller gyms, personal trainers or a deluxe Garage Gym.
“I purchased the Barbarian bicep curl machine and I swear to good it feels as good as the Hammer Strength one. The only difference is the Barbarian arm curl can be adjusted better to suit the user and cost only 10%-15% of what the Hammer Strength one cost me (and that’s no BS)” Brad Inferno Fitness
BUILD
The build is pretty basic and has remained largely unchanged in the 10 years that I have sold this machine. The preacher pad has 4 adjustment angles. So you can get the angle that suits you best. Or if you believe in the theory, you can target different areas of the biceps.
The height of the preacher pad is not adjustable. You adjust for height using the seat pad. Or if you are like Lee Priest you can stand.
The lever arm and handle both pivot on bearings. The handles themselves rotate so the whole movement is smooth and direct. It is built so well that you can train arms independently.
You can also use your EZ curl barbell on this machine too. It has height adjustable bar supports to get you into the optimal starting position.
RECOMMENDATION
I should declare that I am not a massive bicep training fan. But I know there are lot of you out there who love arm day.
However unless you are loaded and have a massive shed I would not normally recommend this for a home gym. There are lot more space efficient and affordable ways to train arms.
The sweet spot for this machine are the smaller gyms and PT studios. It is relatively compact and dual function in that you can do both leverage & barbell.

I have one and it is without doubt the best preacher bench on the market. Unlike other preacher benches ATX preacher enables the angle of the pad to be varied adjusting the tension on the biceps. Most preacher benches unfortunately have fixed angled pads that don’t hit the biceps at the right angle. ATX doesn’t and it is a great piece of equipment and built like a tank
