The old 20kg Standard Weight Plate will always get plenty of use in your home gym. Whether it be for deadlifting, bench pressing or squatting – you will get your money’s worth. The handle grips make them easy to carry around and load on your barbell or machine.
The handles are also perfect for gripping when doing weight plate exercises, which are really handy when doing super or giant sets at home. You can grab your 10kg and do some front raises after some shoulder pressing and dumbbell laterals.
We take them to the park and do farmers walks, or put them on our Spud Magic Carpet and drag them for the ultimate cardio workout.
The solid style 5kg plate is thinner and has a narrower diameter which makes it easier to fit on spinlock dumbbell handles.
They are still easier enough to grip if you want to use the plate for warming up.
As well as 1.25kg plates, a pair of 2.5kg Standard Weight Plates are a must-have when kitting out your gym. They will allow you to make a 5kg progression in weight.
They are even more important if you are training with an inexperienced trainer. 10kg jumps are just too big for someone starting out.
With an internal diameter of 29 mm. Suitable for all standard barbells and machines with 27mm weight horns.
