The ATX® 600 Series Cable Racks have been an extremely successful addition to our range. They come with dual cable pulleys and weight stacks and were designed to deliver functional training and free-weight work in limited home-gym space. Like many similar racks, it is built to stay under the common domestic ceiling height limit of roughly 215–220 cm. This makes installation practical in standard rooms but can restrict the highest pulley positions and overall range of motion.

These machines ships with nylon stirrup handles. These work fine for many people, but the limited vertical travel of the cables means taller users in particular can feel the range cut short on movements such as rows or pulldowns.

A simple upgrade—rubber-grip D-style stirrup handles—addresses this directly. As shown in the short clip below, the rubber-grip versions extend your effective reach just enough to recover that extra bit of motion on a height-constrained machine like the WCR-600. For taller lifters, the difference is noticeable and improves the quality of the exercise without needing to change the rack itself.

The rubber grips also add comfort and reduce hand fatigue compared with plain nylon or bare options, while the D-shape keeps the wrist in a natural position during both pushing and pulling movements. It’s a low-cost, practical tweak that helps get more out of the WCR-600’s dual adjustable cable arms.
