Dips do wonders for your triceps, chest and shoulder development, that’s why it has been a core exercise for many bodybuilding greats, ranging from Frank Zane and Lee Priest to Matt Grimshaw.

Most home and garage gym owners can reap the benefits of this amazing exercise thanks to their power racks dip attachment or a wall mounted unit. But that’s not a viable option for commercial or niche powerlifting gyms where a dedicated dip station is a must. Especially given how much use and abuse this exercise brings.

Knowing how many substandard units are floating around the gym equipment market, it didn’t take long for the German engineers to come up with a robust, versatile and safe option.

Dip Station Key Features

  1. Safe working load of 300 kgs is plentiful even for the strongest quarter reppers out there.
  2. Perfect height to get the full range of motion even with a dip belt attached – the height of the handles measured from floor to the middle of the handle is 110 cm.
  3. The ATX-DBS-740 has been designed and engineered in Germany and has been certified for Commercial use by European Standards (EN 20957 I.II.IV Class S).
  4. The grip range varies from 55 cm all the way up to 70 cm. To make it easier for you to identify (and prevent muscle imbalances), ATX® included knurled markings as well as a hand grip positioning chart.
  5. The grips themselves have been manufactured out of thick tubular steel and feature an industry standard ∅45mm Handle diameter.
  6. The angled handles not only allow users of all shapes and sizes to find the most comfortable position but also greatly reduces the stress on your joints.
  7. Not feeling like using a dip belt? No worries! As the ATX® Dip Station comes with provision for resistance bands.
  8. The ATX-DBS-740 gets its stability from: Thick steel, abundance of reinforcement brackets, robot welders, laser cutting machines, rubber feet and innovative design.

Why is this Dip Station expensive?

Some fella on Facebook was having a dig at the price. Yes it may seem expensive to other dip stands, but this ATX unit is not built for the weekend warrior. This is built for serious gyms – one of our best customers Brisbane North Barbell has one.
This unit is rated for 300kgs. If you put 300kgs on a power rack that was worth the same price it would definitely sway. Remember a power rack has four uprights. This dip station only has one. So it has to be well designed and built.
For a gym owner this is actually a bargain. Dips are one of the best upper body exercises ever. So for this price and the quality of exercise, it is a steal!
