Bench Height Bench HeightThe height of a bench-press is measured from the floor to the highest point on the device. For adjustable benches, however, this is not measured in an upright (incline) position, rather the height is taken while in a flat position. This allows for a better frame of reference when comparing to other non-adjustable weight benches. ![]() |

Unbelievably compact storage, and rock solid for all the standard pressing movements – at 130kg with a pair of 35kg dumbbells, this feels absolutely secure. The pad gap is noticeable but not excessive in the flat position.
The mechanism for collapsing the foot hinge is ‘ladder’ style rather than a rigid locking mechanism, so doing something like a single arm dumbbell incline row with most of your weight on one knee on the seat can cause some movement, but that’s easily fixed by shifting your weight slightly. Being very slightly narrower than a conventional incline bench, it doesn’t feel completely secure doing *extremely* asymmetric movements like a side-lying reverse dumbbell fly with the back at 45 degrees, but that’s unavoidable given the size and an acceptable tradeoff for storage.
Overall, absolutely brilliant – clean & premium look and feel, decent looking welds, very nice pivots / hinges with no play in them, firm but comfortable pads, easy to use and store, takes up about the same amount of space as an ironing board.
