Kettlebell Handle for Ironmaster Quick Lock Dumbbells
I have come across some interesting photos from Ironmaster – a kettlebell handle for the Ironmaster Quick Lock Dumbbells. This is very much a prototype. They are still in development but hopefully they will be in production soon.
These look like they could be the best adjustable kettlebells on the market. There are no specifications that have been officially released as yet – only that the handle alone weighs 11kg or 25lbs. I know this is a bit heavy for a starting weight but I will just get some 6kg kettlebells for doing lighter work. But it looks great for heavy kettlebell work. You will be able to do two hand swings easily with this kettlebell handle.
Ironmaster’s First Kettlebell Handle
Like all Ironmaster products this handle looks unbreakable! I believe the handle is solid steel and then cast into the bell end. The locking mechanism is the same that is used on the Ironmaster dumbbells.
In the photos below there is 35kgs or 77.5lbs weight in total on the kettlebell so you can see that the handles are built to take some serious weight.
Even if you are not a massive kettlebell enthusiast this would be a great inclusion into your weight training. Heavy two hand kettlebell swings are a great exercise. It is a great supplementary exercise for deadlift. Plus it will get your heart rate elevated in the process.
The beauty of this design is that you will be able to make weight increases in small increments – as little as 2.5lb. So you effectively have kettlebells from 25lbs to 77.5lbs in 2.5lb increments. That is 22 combinations in total.
