ATX® have released arguably the best set of fully portable squat stands on the market. If they aren’t the best they’re certainly up there with the best.

To make them even beefier, ATX have used M20 bolts. These bolts require a 30mm socket which gives you an indication of their size. Combined with the reinforced backing plates, these would have to be one of the most structurally sound squat stands on the market.

FUNCTIONALITY

Now to the best part, this is where we separate the ATX stands from the competition. Before we get on to the attachments, one of the best addons you can use on these stands is the brace. This connects both stands for stability. Or you can use it as a chin up bar. It can be bolted, or you can use these larger knobs that can be screwed on by hand.

The extra support provided by the brace combined with the weight of squat stands will give you the equivalent of a half rack. I know a lot of people have reservations about squat stands. However, this combination is more stable than a cheap half rack.

Matt from UK even used them as a make shift combo rack in his gym when he had the combo rack in use at a competition.
