Budget-Friendly Beast

This ATX Power Rack Complete Station-520 is your one-stop shop for serious strength training.

The rack itself is a beast—50 x 50 x 2 mm steel tubing with reinforced gussets, holding up to 500 kg without a wobble.

You get J-Hooks made from 10 mm steel with thick nylon to cradle your bar quietly, plus heavy-duty flip-down spotters with more nylon to catch your fails.

The multi-grip pull-up bar’s knurled at 27 mm for a solid grip, and with 34 height slots and laser-etched numbers, you can set it up just how you like it. Band peg holes in the base? Yep, got those too

Lat Pulldown

Then there’s the lat pulldown station (LTO-520)—100 kg of precision steel weights (20 x 5 kg plates), sliding smooth on ball-bearing pulleys and a stretch-free, plastic-coated steel cable.

It’s a straight 1:1 ratio, so you feel every kilo, no fluff. Use the top pulley for lat pulls or the bottom for rows—footplates and a padded roller keep you locked in.

Toss in the extension chain for different handles, and you’re sorted for a full upper-body blast.

    Have just had the 520 Power Rack with 100kg Stack Lat Option set up in a corner of my back room, and paired it with an Ironmaster Pro FID bench. I am very impressed by the build quality of both – they are super solid and stable. The lat operation is incredibly smooth – I like it a lot! The J-Hooks and flip down spotters are super easy to adjust and are very solid as well. With the Ironmaster bench sitting inside the rack, the total floor space taken up (ie the “footprint”) is considerably less than the old Barbarian bench press and an exercise bike previously took up in the same location.
    I am really looking forward to putting the ATX rack and Ironmaster bench through their paces, and although I am well past my prime I am sure that I will benefit greatly and in a safe way from this set up.
    A big thanks to Sam’s Fitness and particularly to Matt, who answered a number of my questions prior to purchase. Great service and the delivery was reasonably priced and super quick, a surprise to me since I live in a small town in central Victoria. Thanks guys!
