While this power cage with cables might be missing a smith machine bar, it does not mean that you can’t add some more variation to your training. Take the ATX® Jammer Arms B4 as a perfect addition. Due to their unique design, you can use them inside the cage and when they are not in use, you can simply mount on the rear uprights.
ATX have one of the best ranges of All-in-One Trainers and have an option to suit all tastes. The Power Cage with Cables is for the person that prefers training in a full cage. Previously you were restricted to the old lat option attachment. With the integration of the XT Wide Arm functional trainer, ATX have take the humble power cage to a new level.

I always say you can never go wrong with a power rack. So the Power Rack with Cables is the ideal choice for the barbell trainer who wants endless exercise options. There are a lot of lifters out there who do not rate smith machines – so this is the All-in-One Trainer for you.
Being certified for commercial use, this is a great option for the personal trainer or small gym who is tight on space. Alternatively if you are looking for the ultimate centrepiece for your home gym then you won’t find much better at this price.
Despite being raised on feet to accommodate the lower cable section, the power cage with cables does not need to be bolted down because the heavy components and wide footprint keep it stable.
Yes, the weight plate holders on top of the stack allow you to add small plates for micro‑loading when the standard stack jumps are too large.
You should allow enough room for the full cage footprint plus space front and sides for barbell work and wide cable crossover movements; check the product specs for exact dimensions.
A power cage with cables like this gives you full barbell safety plus built‑in cables, whereas many all in one trainers focus only on cables and smith, with limited true rack functionality.
Assembly is more involved than a basic rack because of the cable routing and weight stack, but most users can build it with two people, basic tools and the provided instructions.
Periodic checks of bolts, lubrication of guide rails and light cleaning of the cables and pulleys will keep the unit running smoothly for years.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Outstanding Machine and Even Better Service
I recently purchased the ATX-FCR-780 Functional Cable Trainer and I honestly couldn’t be happier with it. This machine is an absolute powerhouse. From the moment it was assembled you can tell it’s built to a very high standard – solid construction, commercial-grade feel and incredibly smooth operation.
What I love most is the versatility. The ATX-FCR-780 allows me to perform a huge range of exercises on the one machine – chest, back, arms, legs, rehab work, functional movements, it really does it all.
The pulley system is smooth and consistent, the attachments are excellent quality, and the overall design makes it perfect for a serious home gym setup. It has quickly become the centrepiece of my training.
Just as impressive as the machine itself was the sales experience. Sam and Matt were absolutely fantastic to deal with. Their product knowledge, patience and willingness to help made the whole process easy and stress-free. They took the time to answer all my questions, offered honest advice and went above and beyond to make sure I was happy with my purchase.
5-star service all the way for Sam and Matt, they genuinely care about their customers.
If you’re looking for a premium, multi-function cable machine that is built to last and backed by great customer service, I can’t recommend the ATX-FCR-780 highly enough. A massive thanks to Sam, Matt and the whole team at Sam’s Fitness.

The ATX-FCR-780 is a phenomenal piece of equipment. I am 51 and I have been lifting for about 15 years – focusing on strength mainly, ie big 4 lifts with accessory work.
I bought this in February with the ATX PRX Olympic Landmine, the ATX Dip Bars and the ATX hip thrust attachment and there is nothing that I now cannot do in my home Gym.
My kids have stopped hassling me for gym memberships and use the home gym instead. It’s paying for itself very quickly!!
This purchase was an upgrade from a simpler half rack, and the quality of this machine cannot be matched at this price point (I have done a lot of research, and I can’t find anything that comes close).
The feel of the cables for both the lat pulldown and row as well as the arms is as good if not better than anything I have tried in commercial gyms. Everything is built solid and feels extremely high quality. The crossover arms are an amazing innovation and add to the versatility of the set up. The adjustable knee rest works perfectly and can be put into the uprights or the spotter arms for a wide range of options to suite your set up (eg supper set bench with lat pulldown)
My son is 6’3 and can do overhead press inside the cage easily. My daughter also hangs the J-hooks out the front of the rack for the hip thrust attachment (you just need to push the cables out of the way gently).
I debated about the need for a smith machine but since I never really used one before I don’t think I am missing anything.
All I can say is that all I want to do is work out all the time and I have a ‘color bond’ moment every time I am in the gym.
Regarding the build – it is a big job, but it is not difficult, it just takes time as this is a big and heavy piece of gear, definitely a two person job.
Finaly, Matt was super helpful and he and Sam helped load the whole thing into my SUV to bring it home and save on shipping.
I would recommend this, and ATX to anyone who wants a high quality setup that they can probably pass on to their kids.

Thank you so much Andrew for writing such a detailed review – really appreciate it mate. So glad to hear you are getting great use out of your new toy. The good news is that you will keep coming up with new exercises on those cable crossover arms. All the best with the training mate!
